Lately my poetry has been taking a new turn after fuming over the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy as well as some outside influence. I have a few people to thank for some of the personal touches of the content but I won’t publish any names. It’s sexier and more mysterious that way. Besides, I think you know who you are. ;) I have gotten a real thrill out of writing sexy poems and who knows, I may even publish a small poetry book. A girl can dream can’t she.

I have always been a big advocate of people getting in touch with their sexuality. The more people that feel comfortable in their own skin, the more the world can heal. May sound cheesy but there is truth to it. Think about how many crimes committed that are sexual in nature. It’s pretty high for a well developed nation such as America. I understand that the bulk of the country was founded by Puritans that believed in strict moral values but we must grow with the times. It is the age of a new era, a new awakening if you will.

The ways of our forefathers no longer work in today’s society so we have to try something else. We have to not be ashamed of something that is a big chunk of human nature. I mean without sexual drive, how will babies be made?! How will people be able to connect completely and beautifully?! Yeah i said it…sex is beautiful. Our bodies are beautiful…love is beautiful. Our ancient ancestors of the Stone and Iron Age knew what the deal was. They lived using mostly their basic human instincts, and one of those is…you guessed it…sex. They used sex for bartering, baby making, strengthening tribal communities, uniting friends and lovers, as therapy, and even to combat being bored. Ok I don’t have concrete proof on the last one but it’s a plausible claim.

In conclusion…feel the love people and stop worrying over what others think. If it feels right, it’s safe, not harming others, then it can’t be bad.
